The Millard School was a military preparatory school operated by Colonel Homer Millard and his wife Esther to prepare students for admission to the nation’s military academies. It operated on Langlois mountain from 1953 to 1962, then moved to Bradley Lake. One of the amazing artifacts in the museum’s collection is a 19th century French cannon carrying the coat of arms of Napoleon III. Read more about the cannon in the March 2020 edition of the Bandon Light newsletter.
Military uniforms and artifacts from World War I to the present can also be found in this room.
