Logging

Logging was a primary industry from the earliest years of Bandon’s existence. In the post-World War II era, Coos County was the largest lumber-producing region in the world. The museum displays a variety of tools used by those early loggers. Various mills served as some of the largest employers for decades. [photo above: logging crew yarding logs with a steam donkey]
