1936 Fire Anniversary

A program to commemorate the 1936 Bandon Fire will be held in the Don and Joan Lynam Event Center, Saturday, September 26, 2026, the 90th anniversary of the disaster, at 2:00 pm. Admission to the program and to the adjacent museum will be free all day.
Museum volunteers Mary Schamehorn and Jim Proehl will narrate the photo-rich program.
Before or after the program, visit the museum’s “1936 Fire exhibit” from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
